The Inheritance Profiles NYC’s Queer Generations

A social campaign asks locals to discuss the LGBTQ people who have influenced them

The Inheritance is what The Telegraph called “an American epic of gay lives,” and it’s especially interested in what gay generations teach each other. In that spirit, AKA has launched a social media campaign for NYC Pride Week that asks everyday New Yorkers to celebrate queer people who have inspired them. Featuring participants from a wide spectrum of sexual and gender identities, the campaign both highlights New York’s vast queer community and educates audiences about the themes and tone of The Inheritance, which begins performances this fall.
