The Curran—a classic San Francisco-based theater with a new mission to present new, visceral artist-driven theater—needed to attract audiences’ attention for their limited-run series, Curran: Under Construction; establish the Curran’s new mission; and attract new audiences including the Bay Area’s tech leaders.

AKA identified a San Francisco-based artist, Aaron de la Cruz, whose aesthetic matched the exciting works at the Curran. Working with de la Cruz, AKA created an exciting new visual language for the theater–which was incorporated into an video piece as well as print and digital advertising, e-communications, postcards and the eye-catching front of house at The Curran.  

This AKA-designed brand became instantaneously connected with the Curran: Under Construction series and helped the critically-acclaimed series become one of the most talked about cultural events on the San Francisco calendar.
