DIGITAL CREATIVE DIRECTOR

REPORTS TO: VP of Digital
Direct Reports: Social/Social Content Specialists, Digital Designers and Animators
Collaborators: Digital Developers, Media Team, Creative Team, Account Management, Insights Team, Marketing and Promotions.

What you’ll do:

AKA NYC is seeking a Digital Creative Director who is committed to big ideas, innovative thinking, creating award winning work and leading a team to reach their maximum potential. You will work alongside the team to deliver exceptional digital campaigns across all digital platforms. You will inspire a talented team of digital specialists to create and deliver innovative and effective campaigns.

Who we’re looking for:

  • A passionate creative that thinks outside the box and is committed to delivering unique and engaging digital experiences that help achieve our client‘s goals.
  • Excellent communicator and storyteller.
  • You feel confident ideating and executing campaigns across all digital channels from social media to web.
  • You are a force to be reckoned with when it comes to ensuring our clients’ stories are effectively communicated.
  • You are fearless and dedicated to creating campaigns that are innovative and new.
  • A social media maven that understands all social channels intimately and how to speak to people in this space in an engaging way.
  • You are a strong leader and have a flexible approach.
  • You are calm under pressure and thrive working under tight timeframes.
  • You have a passion for the digital space and intimately understand advancements and technology across all platforms and channels. You have a thirst to share new innovations with your team and always look for new digital solutions to meet your client’s needs.

What you’ll need:

  • A minimum of eight years’ experience in a digital creative strategy position (agency or in-house).
  • You are a creative strategist that can not only build a creative presentation and narrative but you also ace the pitch in the room.
  • Creative campaign ideation skills.
  • Extensive knowledge of, and passion for, social media and content platforms.
  • You are an exceptional communicator and storyteller with great presentation skills.
  • A seasoned team leader and a collaborative team player.
  • Technological savviness.
  • Website & web application planning expertise is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Abode and coding practices are preferred.
  • Wire-framing & web planning knowledge. UX / UI experience is preferred.

MOTION GRAPHICS DESIGNER

REPORTS TO: Content Director and Executive Producer

What you’ll do:

AKA NYC is seeking a killer visual designer to concept, animate and execute original content ranging from short-form motion graphic content and commercials, infographics, and live action VFX elements. This Rock star has a diverse set of skills and experience in commercials, online advertising promotions, and marketing campaigns. This position works alongside a talented team of directors, editors, copywriters, and producers

Who we’re looking for:

  • Passionate and creatively-driven artist looking to expand existing talents into new horizons.
  • Brilliant problem solver with a knack for creating memorable motion graphics and experiences.
  • Keen eye for detail. Nothing slips by you.

What you’ll need:

  • At least 3 years’ work experience as a creative motion designer.
  • Ability to articulate and create complex ideas and bring them to life in motion.
  • A conceptual thinker with the confidence to be able to pitch ideas both to the team and clients.
  • Dedication, flexibility, reliability, good organizational skills, and a high degree of responsibility.
  • Advanced After Effects animation with plugin knowledge.
  • Graphic design, Cinema 4D, high level animation quality, rendering and lighting (Physical Render) and Basic Modeling a plus.
  • Applicant needs to be based in NYC.

What you’ll do:

AKA NYC is seeking an exceptional Commercial/Video Editor to join our Content team. You will play a key role in producing a wide variety of live action and motion graphic video content.  This position works alongside an award-winning team of directors, copywriters, and producers.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Talented and well-rounded editor that works well under tight deadlines and high-quality expectations.
  • Hard working and driven team player.
  • Passionate about Broadway and Entertainment.

What you’ll need:

  • 3+ Years post-production experience.
  • Impressive reel.
  • Competence and understanding of post-production processes.
  • The ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty, ambiguity, and quickly evolving goals.
  • Knowledge of collaborating and working alongside clients in advertising setting to meet creative briefs.
  • Excellent sense of pace and timing, a knowledge for the best ways to grab viewers, and a sense for how to tell a powerful story in as little time as possible.
  • Ability to turn projects around on tight deadlines.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Expert level experience with Premiere.
  • Medium level experience with After Effects.
  • Moderate – Expert experience with Photoshop/Illustrator.
