Illinoise will be transferring to Broadway this spring! Following acclaimed, sold-out runs at the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre and Park Avenue Armory, the theatrical adaptation of Grammy and Oscar-nominated Sufjan Stevens’ concept album Illinois will be moving onto the Broadway stage.
The show features live music and vocals, impressionistic choreography by Tony Award-winning director-choreographer Justin Peck and a story about self-exploration and community. Broadway performances will begin Wednesday, April 24 at the St. James Theatre. In celebration of the transfer, AKA created a new key art and a new motion video trailer introducing audiences to the world of Illinoise.
